This years Two by Two Unity Run is Saturday, March 28th with a 5K at 8AM and 1 Mile at 9:30AM.  Information about this years race will be posted By Feb 18th or 19th. So Please Check Back. Thanks!

A Unique Run with a Great Mission:  To strengthen relationships among citizens of all cultures in our community.  Proceeds benefit Character Education, the Miracle Field, and Keep Opelika Beautiful.  Unique Feature of the 5K and 1-Mile. We encourage pairs of runners of different races or cultures to be linked together at the wrist (Velcro links provided) promoting teamwork and building relationships.  Discounts for runners who choose this option.   

1 Mile Fun Run/Walk/Wheel - Closed loop starts and ends in Municipal Park.  All ages encouraged to participate.  Wheelchair participants welcomed – no other wheeled devices such as skateboards, scooters, bicycles, or skates allowed. Date, Time, and Location: Saturday, March 29, 2008 -5K at 8:00am and the 1 Mile at 9:30am. Parking at Opelika Municipal Recreation Center, 1102 Denson Drive.  Race starts at Park Road parking lot, across the street from the Recreation Center.  

Registration Information - Cost - pre registered:

      5K - $15 solitary runners, $10 each for linked pairs

      1 Mile - $8 solitary runners, $6 each for linked pairs

Cost - day of race registration:

      5K - $20 solitary runners, $15 each for linked pairs

      1 Mile - $10 solitary runners, $8 each for linked pairs

T-Shirts:  Guaranteed if registration received by March 21.  Late registrants receive T-shirts as supplies last, in sizes available.

Refund Policy:  Refunds and transfers are not allowed.

Day of race registration:  Begins one hour prior to each race at Recreation Center, 1102 Denson Drive.  Pre-registration is encouraged.

Awards -

5K – Cash Awards:

     Top 3 linked pairs: $120 / $80 / $50 per team  

     Top 3 solitary runners, male and female:  $50 / $30 / $20 per runner          

5K – Display Awards:

     Top male and female finisher in 10 year age groups: 10-19, 20-29,

      30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

1 Mile – Awards presented to top 3 linked pairs, and top male and female finisher in these age groups: <4, 5-7, 8-10, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+

All race participants are eligible to win door prizes during the awards ceremony – however you must be present to win.
